This is one of Rilke's French poems. The English translation is by A. sogar wenn du bewegungslos bist.

Ich habe Angst, siehst du,
daß hier mich niemand mehr sucht;
ich habe von dem, was man gibt,
keinen Gebrauch machen können.

Da haben sie mich verlassen,
Zuerst hat die Einsamkeit mich
bezaubert wie ein Vorspiel,
aber so viel Musik hat mich verletzt.

c'est pour toi si facile,
Ange, tu es le chemin
même en étant immobile.

J'ai peur, vois-tu, que personne
ici ne me cherche davantage;
moi, de ce que l'on donne,
je n'ai pu en faire usage,

alors ils m'ont délaissé.
D'abord la solitude
m'a charmé comme un prélude,
mais tant de musique m'a blessé.
